At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn basic concepts of lexicology. 2) Know morphological and semantics features of lexemes. 3) Comprehend the relation of lexicology to other branches of linguistics. 4) Learn the process of dictionary making and dictionaries.

COURSE DEFINITION
In this course, basic concepts of lexicology will be explored. Also basic concepts of lexicography and lexicography which is a discipline closely related to lexicology, history of lexicography, metalexicography, dictionary types, dictionary making, using a dictionary and criticism will be discussed.
