At the end of this course, the students; 1) The students will understand the importance of music as a narrative tool
2) Learn the academic approaches towards music in the frame of film theory and cultural studies.
3) The students will become familiar to multidisciplinary studies, make a connection between daily examples and theory, and develop a critical point of view.

COURSE DEFINITION
The course will help to understand the film music as a design component. The concept of film music, the effects of music in cinema, the use of music in genres and its functions will be held throughout the semester.
