LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will have a better understanding of current global economic and financial issues, and practical knowledge to interpret leading economic indicators,
2) Will have a practical knowledge of major global data and information providers and develop skills to extract relevant data,
3) Will have a knowledge on credit rating methodologies utilized by major credit rating agencies,
4) Will be able to build a bridge between theory and economic and financial developments in the real World, and better understand the building blocks of the global economy.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe main goal of the course is to build up the understanding of the theory and policy of the contemporary global economics, financial markets and institutions. The focus of the course is to understand how to read global macroeconomic and financial data as well as international developments.
