LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn the corner stones of Turkish bnakingsector from a historical prespective. 2) Have knowledge about the pre republic structure of the Turkish banking sector. 3) Learn the post republic structural changes that the Turkish banking sector experienced. 4) Be able to analyse the fast progress during 80s and 90s. 5) Be able to interpret the developments between 1990-2000. 6) Be able to analyse 2000-2010 period developments. 7) Be able to examine the state of the banking sector after 2010.

COURSE DEFINITION | The aim of this course is to analyse the banking sector in our country from its early days to current days within a historical perspective. Banking sector before the Turkish Republic was establihed, after the Establishment of The Republic will be discussed by dividing these timespans into different eras. |
