COURSE DEFINITION
Film Critics is designed for the students who are interested in cinema and willing to improve their analysing skills at competent level. Inthe course, film critics approaches will be studied by watching and establishing a mutual relations with suitable films.

Film screening about the sociological approach 12 Angry Men (Sidney Lumet, 1957) / discussing the film in the context of sociological approach.
4th Week
Examining the ideological approach.
5th Week
Film screening about the ideological approach (They Live, John Carpenter, 1988) / discussing the film in the context of ideological approach.
6th Week
Discussing the semantics and semiology / examining the semiological approach in the film critics.
7th Week
Film screening about the semiological approach (Paris, Texas, Wim Wenders, 1984) / discussing the film in the context of the semiological approach.
8th Week

Discussing the studies about gender roles / examining the feminist approach in the film critics.

Discussing about the auteurs in the film history / examining the auteur approach in the film critics.
