At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn about the changes and transformations caused by the ongoing technological convergence since 1970's on economic and social life. 2) Gain the ability to interpret and evaluate communication studies in the light of studies and theoretical approaches in the field of digital media. 3) Gain the competence to question the impact of digitization in different contextual frameworks.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course develope a critical viewpoint by discussions and examplary analysis on new media and its developed side products: visual culture, methods of politics and diplomacy, citizenship practices, daily life, consumer culture, interpersonal relationships and alterations on the health sector.
