COURSE DEFINITION	This course teaches the steps of printed media design and production processes.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week Introduction: Scope and objectives of the course. 2nd Week Short history of printing, techniques used in printing, basic terms of printing press 3rd Week InDesign: How to create a master page. In-class practice. 4th Week Using grids, and exporting the file. In-class practice. CMYK / Project: Project brief. 5th Week Design process. 6th Week Design process. 7th Week General review and exporting process. 8th Week Mid-term 9th Week CMYK Project: Magazine design. 10th Week Determination of magazine contents and visuals. 11th Week Designing internal pages. 12th Week Designing table of contents 13th Week Designing cover 14th Week Printing and presentation process.
