LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Understand the importance of protocol and rules of social behavior.
2) Knows and applies proper dressing and behaving.
3) Learns the rules of meeting and introducing, behaving appropriately in the workplace and the rules of speaking on the phone.
4) Appointment, written communication and meeting rules to learn.
5) Organize social and official dinner invitations.

COURSE DEFINITIONHistorical development of social behavior and protocol rules and the importance of knowing and applying protocol rules in social life and work environment are explained. The importance of outer appearance and clothing, acquaintance and introduction, addressing and greeting, welcome and farewell are taught. Code of conduct and relations with superiors, protocol on telephone, appointment protocol, protocol in written communication, business meetings and meeting protocol are explained. Official invitations, business lunches, giving gifts, sending flowers, thanking, protocol rules applied in vehicles are also included in the course.
