1) learn basic grammatical structures
2) build up basic reading and listening skills
3) write informal paragraphs and letters
4) learn vocabulary to such an extent as to communicate at a basic level

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course, which is the continuation of ENG 225, aims to keep the gains obtained in English I, II and III, and to improve it a little more at the basic level. The course is at A2+B1 (Elementary + Pre-Intermediate) level. The student's subjective participation and effort are essential. The exemption exam for this course takes place in September of each year. It is strongly recommended that those who are exempt from ENG 225 should also be exempt from ENG 226. The course does not include a study of departmental English.
