1) learn basic grammatical structures
2) build up basic reading and listening skills

COURSE DEFINITIONENG 225 is a continuation of Basic English I and II, and it is a course that allows students studying in Turkish departments to improve themselves in learning English and tries to teach the language within its basic and general rules. The department is not in English. The course has an exemption exam every September. Students who find their language skills sufficient can apply for these exams. Attendance is essential. Unless the terms of the term are changed by the Office of the Rector, absenteeism is determined as 16 hours.
