At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explain the basic matters and issues of Turkish citizenship law. 2) Define the term of citizenship. 3) Identify the general principles of Turkish citizenship law. 4) Explain the relationship between the Constitution and citizenship law. 5) Solve the problems related to multiple citizenship and statelessness. 6) Explain the acquisition and loss of citizenship 7) Identify the characteristics of the acquisition of citizenship 8) List the means of acquisition of Turkish citizenship according to Turkish Citizenship Law Act and other resources. 9) Explain the proof of Turkish nationality, judicial proceedings and the other concepts of Turkish citizenship law. 10) Identifies the rules on the proof of Turkish citizenship in the Turkish Citizenship Law Act. 11) Analysis the judicial proceedings of Turkish citizenship law issues by basing on case law. 12) Will be able to explain the basic matters and issues of Law of Foreigners. 13) Defines the concepts of foreigners, minorities, refugees and the foreigners with private status. 14) Identifies the systems and principles in the recognition of foreigners rights. 15) Explains the relationship between the Constitution and law of foreigners. 16) Categorizes the rights of foreigners in Turkey. 17) Explain what kind of rights the foreigners have in Turkey. 18) Identify the legal status of foreigners in terms of political rights in Turkey 19) Identify by which means a foreigner use the public rights and freedoms as the freedom to enter and travel in the country, right and freedom of association and membership, right and freedom of work and rights and freedom of foreigners for direct or indirect investments 20) Identify by which means a foreigner use the private rights such as the rights related to law of person and family law, the right of inheritance and the right of acquisition of real property.
