LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) 17th, 18th and 19th centuries written in the Ottoman alphabet. Classical Turkish literature texts can be read and interpreted. 2) Become familiar with the characteristics of 16th, 17th and 18th century Turkish literature. 3) Learn about the language and understanding, social situation and world view of the period.

COURSE DEFINITION	This course covers the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. The history of classical Turkish literature includes commentary on selected texts from works belonging to these centuries.
