At the end of this course, the students; 1) Simple texts written in the Ottoman alphabet can be read and written. 2) The historical development of Turkish in Anatolia is learned. 3) The place of Turkey Turkish within the Turkish languages is learned. 4) Gain information about the development and change of the language and morphological features of Turkey Turkish.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course includes studies on the reading of Turkish texts written in the Ottoman alphabet from the adoption of the Arabic alphabet until the adoption of the Latin alphabet. In this context, the teaching of the alphabet, which consists of Arabic, Persian and Turkish-specific sounds and which we can call the Ottoman alphabet, the reading of Turkish texts written with this alphabet, and the sound and form features of Turkish in its historical phases constitute the content of the course.
