LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Knows the concept of set; can explain the concepts of finite set, countable set. 2) Knows the concepts of opean set, closed set. 3) Knows the concepts of metric space. 4) Knows the concept of convergence in metric spaces. 5) Konows the basic concepts of normed spaces.

COURSE DEFINITION	The concept of a set, finite sets, countable sets, Supremum and infimum concepts, Definition of the Metric, norm, open and closed set, closure of a set, boundary. Neighborhoods and accomodation points in metric spaces, sequences and convergence, Continuity, Cauchy sequences, Completeness.
