LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Knows basic concepts in topological spaces. 2) Classifies the topological spaces 3) Defines the topology of product and quotient spaces and analyses the properties of these spaces.

COURSE DEFINITION	Topological structure and topological space. Open and closed sets in topological space. Comparison of topologies. The concept of topological subspace. Topology of real numbers, plane, metric space. Topological equivalence. The concept of neighborhood, touch point, aggregation point, closure, inside and outside of a set. The boundary of a set. Product and quotient spaces.
