1) Explain the concept of connection.

2) Recognize different connection types, understands their importance.

3) Explain and illustrate the concepts of conceptual and operational understanding.
4) Realize the importance of connection in teaching mathematics.

5) Access and review national articles on connection in mathematics teaching.

6) Design activities and lectures based on connection in mathematics teaching.

COURSE DEFINITIONStudents taking this course are expected to learn the meaning and importance of the concept of association in mathematics education in accordance with theoretical approaches. This course includes examining the types of associations through different approaches, associations between concepts, associations between different representations, associations with daily life, associations with different disciplines; examining the related literature; developing applications for the inclusion of association in classroom activities and lesson plans.
