1) Will be able to realise the potential of computers in mathematics and mathematics education
2) Will be able to understand the epistemological and pedagogical principles of computer-assisted mathematics education
3) Will be able to gain competence in using software developed for mathematics and mathematics education
4) Will be able to use the computer in the problem-solving phase
5) Will be able to prepare computer-based mathematics projects

COURSE DEFINITIONStudents taking this course are expected to be able to define computer assisted mathematics teaching, to realise technology integration in mathematics learning and teaching processes, to perform basic geometric drawings with computer support, to show the relationship between mathematical concepts in a dynamic environment. In this course, computer assisted mathematics applications, teaching mathematics subjects with computer, learning mathematics in computerised environment, mathematical research through specially designed software packages, Geogebra, Cabri3D, Sketchpad etc. software and Web 2.0 tools, designing and developing computer assisted activities using Geogebra software will be discussed.
