1) Explains the concept of mathematical modelling,
2) Solves problems using mathematical modelling,
3) Explains the concept of mathematical problem solving,
4) Explains the problem solving process,
5) Recognizes the importance of the concept of mathematical reasoning,
6) Expresses the importance of mathematical association in mathematics teaching,
7) Recognizes the place and importance of communication skills in mathematics teaching,
8) Explains the concept of representation.

COURSE DEFINITIONStudents taking this course are expected to examine mathematical process skills in their entirety and to have knowledge about the characteristics of skills such as problem solving, reasoning, modelling, modelling, associating, communicating and representing. In this course, in addition to process skills, higher level skills such as prediction, critical thinking, self-evaluation; the role of cognitive skills, affective and psycho-motor skills in mathematics learning and teaching; examining the objectives in the mathematics curriculum in the context of mathematical skills, developing in-class applications for the development of students' mathematical skills, examining sample cases.
