COURSE DEFINITIONThe place of the history of mathematics in mathematics education; Historical development of numbers, geometry, trigonometry, algebra, calculus; Ancient Egyptian mathematics, Ancient Greek mathematics, Far East mathematics, Islamic world mathematicians; the birth of modern mathematics, historical development of mathematical concepts, important mathematicians.
