At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explains the relationship between arithmetic and algebra. 2) Develops algebraic thinking skills. 3) Develops activities related to the teaching of algebraic concepts. 4) Identifies misconceptions of middle school students regarding concepts related to algebra, explores their causes, and offers solutions for resolution. 5) Relates algebraic mathematical concepts to everyday life and other disciplines.

COURSE DEFINITION
The aim of this course is to enhance the algebraic, arithmetic, and functional thinking skills of middle school mathematics teacher candidates, as well as to develop their knowledge of methods and activities related to teaching algebraic concepts.
