1) Review all topics and subtopics related to Numbers in the Secondary School Mathematics 5-8 Grade Curriculum,
2) Examines instructional approaches to the teaching of numbers,
3) Investigates student knowledge in all topics and subtopics related to numbers,
4) Discusses misconceptions and their causes in all topics and subtopics related to numbers,
5) Creates activities for teaching concepts in all subjects and sub-subjects related to numbers,
6) Develops effective materials for teaching concepts in all subjects and sub-subjects related to numbers.

COURSE DEFINITIONStudents taking this course are expected to have knowledge about all subjects and concepts related to number sets. In this course, natural numbers, operations on natural numbers, factors and multiples, divisibility rules, integers, fractions, decimal notations, percentages; ratio, proportion concepts and applications; rational and irrational numbers; real numbers, exponential and radical multiplicities, sets are included. Teaching these subjects (organizing the course content, using appropriate teaching materials and strategies, etc.), student knowledge about these subjects (understanding and interpreting student ideas about concepts, knowing students' misconceptions and reasons); the topics of its place in the mathematics curriculum are included.
