LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Write line and plane equations in space using the given definitions and basic vector operations.
2) Non-centripetal conics in space (circle, ellipse,
write Cartesian and parametric equations of hyperbola, parabola curves using rotational and translational transformations and make applications
3) To be able to write equations of sphere, cylinder and cone surfaces in space and make applications.

COURSE DEFINITIONOrthogonal coordinates in three dimensional space; vectors in space and operations with vectors; lines and planes in space and basic problems related to them; some special surfaces in space (sphere, cylinder, cone, rotational surface) and problems related to them; conics as sections of a double sided cone.
