COURSE DEFINITION	Measurement tools used in education and their properties; tools based on traditional approaches: Written exams, short answer exams, true-false type tests, multiple choice tests, matching tests, oral examinations; multifaceted identification tools for students: observation, interview, performance tasks, portfolio, research projects, peer assessment, self-assessment, attitude scales; considerations in assessing student achievement; evaluation of learning outcomes and grading.
