At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explain the importance and usage drama in education. 2) Use drama as a teaching method in education. 3) Describe the relation between play and drama. 4) Identify the role and importance of play and drama in child development. 5) Apply activities by drama method in primary education. 6) Plan drama activities in accordance with purpose and gain of the course. 7) Prepare suitable education environment and materials for drama activity.

COURSE DEFINITION | Definition and meaning of drama term; the concepts of psychodrama, educational drama, sociodrama etc.; relation between drama and play; the history of drama practices in education, structure of drama and its stages of implementations in education, drama environment and teacher qualities; evaluation of drama; drama examples, examples development and application for the educational purposes of the field. |
