At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explains the reasons for the emergence of the concept of multi-grade classroom. 2) Uses the principles of teaching in multi-grade classrooms in lesson plans. 3) Compare the reasons for the use of multi-grade classroom practice in the world. 4) Prepares lesson plans suitable for multi-grade classrooms.

COURSE DEFINITION | Students taking this course are expected to understand the unique functioning of multigrade classrooms, and
plan and implement teaching in multigrade classrooms. Course content includes concept of multigrade
classroom, reasons for multigrade classrooms, advantages and disadvantages of multigrade classrooms,
principles of teaching in multigrade classrooms, learning climate in multigrade classrooms, planning and
evaluating learning-teaching process in multigrade classrooms, multigrade classroom practices over the world. |
