COURSE DEFINITIONBasic concepts of science and science education. Features of science, technology, scientific knowledge and scientific method, science and technology literacy, science-technology-society-environment relations, attitudes towards science, aims of science teaching, historical development of science teaching in Turkey and the world, constructivist approach and science learning, cognitive development and science education, characteristics of the Primary Science program and its relationship with other courses, development of scientific process skills and sample applications.
