LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Within the framework of this course, students will examine the change in the perception and definition of child and childhood from the Middle Ages to the present, 2) the value and status of the child, child rearing styles, 3) the comparative analysis of child perception and definitions of childhood in Europe and the world, 4) the perception of child and childhood in the Ottoman and Republican era, 5) It examines the definition, changing child culture and the determining factors of child culture, 6) childhood history study methods and childhood history studies, and an overview of the debates on the shortening or disappearance of childhood in the 21st century.
