At the end of this course, the students; 1) To be able to describe, analyze, interpret and evaluate dramatic literature and theatrical productions. 2) To be able to articulate the formal, technical, historical, and theoretical attributes of their work and the work of others. 3) To be able to apply performance practices 4) To be able to demonstrate an understanding of all aspects of theatrical production including acting, directing, design, technical, publicity.

Practical studies on the origins of theater with children; the basic components of theater; the relationship between play, theater and drama; improvisational acting exercises for theater education created by Viola Spolin; planning theater work with children; stage, music, lighting and costume design principles; staging a play.
