LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Discusses the importance and purpose of using music in basic education. 2) Organize activities appropriate to the child's developmental level and musical skills. 3) Develop the child's sense of rhythm, sense of hearing, musical knowledge and desire. 4) Makes musical productions. 5) Makes music studies with Orff instruments. 6) Integrate music education into their own education program. 7) Designs, produces, develops and makes materials for the acquisition targeted within the scope of music lesson.

COURSE DEFINITION | The origins of music; the relationship between music and culture, the importance of music in early childhood, the relationship between music and education; music development and musical skills according to age; the use of music in achieving the goals in the preschool education program and repertoire creation; children's songs and analysis, criteria to be considered in the selection of children's songs; music education approaches and techniques used in preschool; the creation of educational environment and equipment related to music education in preschool education institutions; spiral education model integrated with music activities. |
