1) To have knowledge about contemporary structural systems in terms of design principles and usage possibilities.
2) To recognize the materials used in contemporary structural systems.

COURSE DEFINITIONContemporary structural systems are used due to functional/structural requirements and aesthetic expectations, and developed by technological innovations. The aim of the course is to make students have architectural and structural knowledge/experience about contemporary structural systems with learning structural systems in a property and classification framework.
