At the end of this course, the students; 1) Understands the relationship between the production of space and literature from a theoretical perspective. 2) Establishes the literature-architecture relation through literary texts, evaluates structuring the space through literary texts. 3) Produces alternatives to develop different methods on spatial reading of literary texts. 4) Makes a parallel reading on Turkey's modern period of literature and architecture and relates these two formations with each other. 5) Analyze the potential of using the information produced by the disciplines of architecture and literature for each other.

COURSE DEFINITION
Within the scope of the course, considering the different dimensions that the architectural discourse will get with an interdisciplinary approach, the relationship between literature and the production of space is examined within the different aspects. As an exemplary field of study, Turkish modern literature and architecture in the process starting from the end of the 18th century to the middle of the 20th century; are examined within the framework of their relations with each other and a parallel reading and evaluation is made on the selected examples.
