COURSE DEFINITION
Parallel to the concept of tectonic, which emerges and differs from the phenomenological analysis of the concepts of structure and construction, the general framework of the course aims to scan the contemporary tectonic cultural geography from the Antiquity to the Post-Structuralist understanding through architectural practice. Kenneth Frampton's pioneering book Studies in Tectonic Culture is used as a roadmap in scanning this topography of knowledge.
