LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Use parametric design in the field of architectural design.
2) Model by learning then using parametric design tools.
3) Gain knowledge and skills in digital production and prototyping.
4) Model by acquiring then using material knowledge.
5) Produce architectural detail solution suitable for the project.

RECOMMENDED OPTIONAL PROGRAMME COMPONENT-
COURSE DEFINITION It is a course that aims to provide students with knowledge and skills on the use of parametric design in architecture. It is carried out through research, discussions and applications on these topics with parametric design tools. In addition, it aims to gain knowledge and skills about digital production, prototyping, material selection and special detail production.

1st Week Introduction to the course, explaining the purpose, scope and expectations of the course, distributing the pre-presentation topics and dividing into groups
2nd Week Presentations / Term Project Introduction and Project Location Visit
3rd Week Introduction to parametric design, computational design, properties of parametric design systems and parametric thinking
4th Week Basic and Intermediate Grasshopper Algorithms
5th Week Presentation of initial ideas of the project (to be graded) / Advanced Grasshopper Algorithms
6th Week Critics / Technology studies according to the project requirement
7th Week Interim Jury (Midterm Exam I)
8th Week Critics / Technology studies according to the project requirement
9th Week Critics / Technology studies according to the project requirement
10th Week Pre-Jury (Midterm Exam II)
11th Week Critics/ Technology studies according to the project requirement
12th Week Preparation for the critiques and the final jury
