LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Comprehend the stages of the creative processes of the discipline of architecture in a way to relate them to each other.
2) Develop thoughts and ideas with the help of various popular media and readings, acquires architectural reading and writing skills.
3) Build the conceptual and intellectual background to support the development of design in the architectural design studio.
4) Comprehend how to conduct scientific research and critical thinking in the field of architecture and learns how to produce information independently.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course conveys knowledge of the different aspects and qualities of scientific research and architectural research methods through lectures, discussions, and readings. The students will utilize this knowledge in order to develop their design research for their current architectural design studio project throughout the course.
