LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Use photography, which is one of the different representation methods in architecture, as a tool that feeds the architectural design process and expression.
2) Gain ideas and experience about the effect of photography on architectural production and reproduction.
3) Search and comparatively question the effect of photography in creating new ideas and concepts in visual history and theory.
4) Comprehend the role of photography in spatial perception, representation, narration and architectural history.
5) Examine architectural photography as a part of spatial experience.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe course aims to demonstrate an understanding of visual and architectural values using different photographic techniques. With the representations produced by camera, students experience various places, and reproduce the explored spatial qualities in a unique narrative. Within the scope of the course, form, content, and composition are discussed in terms of their effects in re-creation/re-reading of space by questioning and developing different looking/seeing methods.
