At the end of this course, the students; 1) Develop knowledge about the values to be preserved in the architectural cultural heritage and their evaluation criteria. 2) Use the restoration project preparation method and restoration techniques. 3) Use analytical building survey preparation techniques. 4) Acquire legal legislations about preservation of cultural assets.

COURSE DEFINITION
By teaching the theoretical principles of conservation and criteria and assets that have to be preserved and restoration techniques, the course develops skills of the students for critical thinking on preservation of cultural assets.

Regulations and organizations for preservation of cultural heritage

Determination of the working groups on measured drawings of a building and starting for measurement studies (Each group has at least 3 students)
12th Week
Starting of the active field study, (This study constitutes the first step towards improving the students' ability to understand space, comprehend, draft, take horizontal and vertical measurements, and transfer the determined data to the appropriate environment in a working environment with proper geometry and no physical problems).
