RECOMMENDED OPTIONAL PROGRAMME COMPONENT-
COURSE DEFINITIONDesign Studio I aims to introduce students to the basic concepts and architectural analysis methods related to architectural design. During the semester, students gather, evaluate and develop the necessary information about a multi-storey architectural problem of limited scale using their design skills. In this context, in the architectural design developed, it takes into account the physical and social layers of the built environment and aims to bring a holistic solution to the limited scale problem by interpreting the program. While students understand the importance of producing a theme, human-space-function relationship, ergonomics and indoor-outdoor relationships in architectural design, they also develop architectural drawing and representation skills that express architectural design ideas.
