COURSE DEFINITIONWhile analyzing political action, the influence of particular individuals should be taken into account in examining some specific events, but mainly the activities of social groups rather than the actions of individuals should be looked at. One of the first steps to be taken in this analysis is to determine the ways in which social clusters can participate in politics and the nature of these clusters. It is clear that there is a great diversity ranging from protests, uprisings or struggles of NGOs that occur from time to time. The meaning of such movements is discussed from theoretical perspectives.
