LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Students discover the social direction of art and learn sociological thinking methods in art. 2) Students learn the role of art for the development of society. 3) Students learn sociological factors and concepts that affect art and artist.

COURSE DEFINITION	In this course, art is handled as a sociological process and analyzed in relation to other sociological concepts. In the course, the effects of modern art on societies and the effects of social structures on art are analyzed comparatively. It is aimed that students will consider art as a social institution with a sociological perspective.
