LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Gain knowledge about the content of social structure and change as a phenomenon.
2) Develop a critical view on social-cultural results of the social change considering its historical process.
3) Could comprehend the view of classical and modern theories on the change phenomenon.
4) Could apply research methods and techniques to social change topics such as migration, culture and etc. by using their sociological imagination.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course, social groups, non-group communities, social events and phenomena, sociological perspective, research methods and techniques, social change, migration, culture, sub-branches of sociology, other related sociology, through social structure and social change, which are the most basic concepts of sociology, will be covered in this course.
