LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Learn about the historical processes of human embryology.
2) Define cell division steps and the basics of fertilization process.
3) Understand the changes occurring in humans during embryonic development.
4) Learn about the fetal period, placenta structure and fetal membranes; and be able to discuss the relationships between these structures.
5) Learn detailed steps of human embryological development and the molecular concepts in embryology.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course is designed to provide information about the historical processes of human embryology. It also covers the cell division processes and basic concepts of fertilization. Students will also learn about the detailed steps of human embryological development.
