At the end of this course, the students; 1) Know the basic concepts of biodiversity and related mechanisms. 2) Can classify living things. 3) Know conservation methods of biodiversity and can plan to implement these methods. 4) Increase awareness of endangered species and can develop strategies to increase social awareness. 5) Know the value of biodiversity and its application areas. 6) Learn and follow up-to-date global strategies on biodiversity.

COURSE DEFINITION | In this course, the relationship between life forms in the world and their
habitats and the survival mechanisms of them are explained. The
importance of biological diversity, the benefits it provides to humanity and
conservation methods are mentioned. Awareness of endangered species is
created. Current global strategies for biodiversity are explained and students
are provided to integrate these strategies with the fields covered by
molecular biology and genetics. |
