1) Know historical development and basic definitions of biotechnology.
2) Know biotechnology applications and products at daily life industry, environment, food and agriculture fields.
3) Know biotechnology market, global and social effects and regulations of biotechnology.
4) Know basic principles of ethics and biosafety in order to assess biotechnology applications.

COURSE DEFINITIONIt is aimed, by the end of this course, that the students enrolled in different undergraduate programs gather information about historical development and basic definitions of biotechnology, biotechnology applications and products at daily life industry, environment, food and agriculture fields, biotechnology market, global and social effects and regulations of biotechnology, future biotechnology and market projections, ethics, and biosafety.
