LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Composing contrast material from a simple idea. Composing Music for small scale chamber ensemble such as trio or duo. Students are required to prepare a musical file with small chamber ensemble music no less than 5 minutes. They are expected to analyze their music before a jury in final examination.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course includes creating a whole with the opposite idea in the basics of composition, editing with contrast and making simple applications within this framework.

4th Week Synchronicity; texture; heterophony, polyphony, homophony
5th Week Examples of repertory, foundations of medieval-renaissance polyphony
6th Week Examples of repertory; basics of baroque polyphonic styles
7th Week Examples of repertory; rhythm patterns, Stravinsky
8th Week Composition project and repertoire analysis,
9th Week Composition project and repertoire analysis,
10th Week Composition project and repertoire analysis,
11th Week Controls of the compositions to be presented
12th Week Controls and execution of the compositions to be presented
13th Week Exam file preparation
14th Week Presentation and analysis of music in front of the jury
