2) Can make harmonic analysis of selected examples from the literature.

COURSE DEFINITIONTo make the student understand the basic structure of tonal system, and realize the figured and unfigured basses, and melodies. Also to give the student the ability to analyze selected examples from the literature.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Explaining the content and requirements of the course. Second order 3 vowel chords and their usage.
2nd Week Second order 3 vowel chords and their usage. Practice of the subject on a given coded bass, plain bass or soprano.
3rd Week Three vowel chords of the sixth degree and its application. Practice of the subject on a given coded bass, plain bass or soprano.
4th Week Three-voice chords of the sixth degree and its application. Practice of the subject on a given coded bass, plain bass or soprano.
5th Week 3 vowel chords of the third degree. Practice of the subject on a given coded bass, plain bass or soprano.
6th Week MIDTERM.
7th Week 3 vowel chords of the seventh degree. Practice of the subject on a given coded bass, plain bass or soprano.
8th Week 3 vowel chords of the seventh degree. Practice of the subject on a given coded bass, plain bass or soprano.
9th Week The seventh chord of the seventh degree. Practice of the subject on a given coded bass, plain bass or soprano.
10th Week The seventh chord of the seventh degree. Practice of the subject on a given coded bass, plain bass or soprano.
11th Week MIDTERM.
12th Week The seventh chord of the seventh degree. Practice of the subject on a given coded bass, plain bass or soprano.
13th Week Connections of seventh chords in all degrees. Practice of the subject on a given coded bass, plain bass or soprano.
