At the end of this course, the students; 1) Should have learned the basic principles and assumptions of behavioral economics, a field which is shaped by the advences in psychology and neuroscience 2) Understand to take into account the effects of irrationality, biases, cognitive and heuristic factors on the individual decision making 3) Capture the assumptions and policy recommendations of traditional economics within the lenses of behavioral economics in a much more realistic way and have the ability of applying the findings of behavioral economics in designing appropriate policies

COURSE DEFINITION
The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to behavioral economics and a practical guide to applying behavioral economics tools to improve decision making and economic policy enforcement. This course covers models of the main topics of behavioral economics which mainly studies the violations from the standard assumptions of the mainstream economics.
