LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Within the human-space relationship, the perceptual behavior responses in the space are understood
2) The relationship between culture and space is evaluated
3) The effects of technological developments on contemporary interior design are examined.
4) In contemporary space formations, interior organization and aesthetic value are sought.

COURSE DEFINITIONContemporary space approaches contain the effects of different dynamics in the conditions of the day. The new life culture created by the age includes technological developments, communication methods, space organization and factors that directly affect the formation of interiors atmosphere. Contemporary spaces reflect different dynamics and perceptual behavior responses through user identity and understanding of life style. In this course, students are expected to research the dynamics that affect spaces and to make spatial readings of these dynamics. In the course content, the formation of new spaces and their causes are discussed.
