At the end of this course, the students; 1) To perceive the necessity of using light as a design element in interior design. 2) To deal with light, which is a design element in interior design, together with other elements such as color, texture and material. 3) To see the construction and application stages in interior lighting design. 4) To ensure that furniture, fittings and all spatial elements in the interior are thought and designed in integrity. 5) To plan and implement design setups that can respond to different user groups, needs and different space setups in national and international contexts. 6) Will be able to produce creative, innovative, aesthetic and original spatial solutions by using abstract and concrete concepts in interior lighting design. 7) To produce sustainable and universal design solutions in an environmentally friendly manner in interior lighting design.

COURSE DEFINITION
The aim of this course is to examine the role and emergence of lighting design for interior spaces in historical process and discuss it?s role in interior design. Approaching and examining the subject by status assessments of world examples, and moving from physical, esthetic-psycological and sustainable perspectives that effect interior spaces, is concluded as a more accurate way for evaluation.
