1) Define the concept of construction.
2) Understand the importance of construction in clothing fashion.
3) Learn the structural approaches of designers in clothing fashion.
4) Can design a fashion design product by considering the structural features within the framework of a theme.

COURSE DEFINITIONCoexistence of structural approaches and materials research in the design process. In this sense, an examination of the approaches of designers such as Rei Kawakubo, Junya Watanabe and Iris Van Herpen. Developing structural changes in design considerations.

1st Week General presentation of the course, giving information about its content.
2nd Week Construction concept. Construction in clothing fashion.
3rd Week Structural approaches in garment design process.
4th Week Combination of structural approaches and materials research in the design process.
5th Week Examining the structural approaches of designers: Rei Kawakubo, Junya Watanabe and Iris Van Herpen, Yohji Yamamoto.
6th Week Examining the structural approaches of designers: Issey Miyake, Martin Margiela, Hüseyin Çağlayan, Alexander Mcqueen.
7th Week Midterm
8th Week Making theme selections for the project.
9th Week Creating structural designs in line with the theme.
10th Week Creating structural designs in line with the theme.
11th Week Realization of the project of revealing a fashion design product designed by considering its structural features within the framework of a selected theme.
12th Week Realization of the project of revealing a fashion design product designed by considering its structural features within the framework of a selected theme.
13th Week Realization of the project of revealing a fashion design product designed by considering its structural features within the framework of a selected theme.
