LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Discuss the social change and transformation that started with the National Struggle and the Republican period through literary texts. 2) Evaluate the basic characteristics of the literature of the National Struggle and Revolution period. 3) Discuss the approaches of the writers and poets of the Republican period comparatively. 4) Examine selected texts from the genres of novels, poems and stories of Turkish literature of the Republican period within the framework of the conditions of the period.

COURSE DEFINITION	The social change and transformation that started with the National Struggle and the Republic period will be introduced through literary texts. In this course, in which the dynamics shaping modern Turkey will be discussed, the continuities and transformations between the Ottoman and Republican periods will be discussed according to the development line of literary genres.
